Originally from Belfast, Brendan graduated from the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin in their full time intensive Actor Training Programme (Sept 2013-July 2015). He also trained in drama, dance and singing at The Rainbow Factory School of Performing Arts (2001-2013).
Film and television roles include Summon Her Children (Walsh), The Old Irish Washerwoman (Cathal), Life Art (Oisin), as well as various commercials including Friends D.O.E (Lead Football Fan), Red Bull (Penguin) and You, Your Child, and Alcohol (Son).
He has performed in a wide range of theatre roles including Alice in Wonderland (Mad Hatter), The Tain (Amadan; Toured NI), Blood Brothers (Mickey; Toured NI), Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf (George; Culturlann Theatre), and Honk (Drake; Grand Opera House Belfast).
Dublin Theatre credits include Squash (Dulta), Scout (The Boys) and Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me (Edward) at the Smock Alley Theatre, and Midsummer Night’s Dream (Demetrius) and Taming of the Shrew (Petruchio) at the Black Box Theatre GSA.
Brendan is a previous member of Youth Actions Company Theatre Group (2011-2013). He is a strong swimmer and enjoys playing Racket Ball to a competitive level. Brendan also plays Saxophone as well as having a distinction in unarmed combat with the Irish Dramatic Combat Academy. He also has a keen interest in writing as well as filmmaking.
