Declan Curran

Declan has created several short films, and continues to showcase his work at film festivals both nationally and internationally.

His latest project, Dear Imelda (2024), starring Rose Henderson (Father Ted), had its World Premiere at the 25th Chicago Irish Film Festival as a Festival Award Nominee. Its Irish Premiere took place at the Oscar® and BAFTA-accredited Foyle Film Festival, where it received a Special Mention as Runner-Up for Best Irish Short Film.

Dear Imelda has been acquired by Network Ireland Television for international distribution and is now streaming on SAMANSA and Aer Lingus. Indie Shorts Mag awarded it ★★★★★, calling it “Perhaps one of the finest shorts to come out this year.”
